Women Evolution vindicates female leadership to face social transformations. The 4th edition of the congress took place this Thursday at Esade Creapolis.

Women Evolution brought together 350 people to address the challenges facing women in the 21st century. It has done so from different perspectives such as health, leadership and technological innovation, and with experts in different fields. In this 4th edition of the initiative, held again at EsadeCreàpolis, have passed the general consul of the United States in Barcelona, Katie Stana; the director of the Catalan Health Service, Gemma Craywinckel; the vice president of the institutional area of Barça, Elena Fort, and the president of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Roser Xalabarder, among others. The event was closed by the councilor of Feminism and Equality, Tània Verge.
In front of a mostly female audience, the congress had about forty speakers divided into eight blocks. Transforming economies to achieve a more sustainable future", "valuing women's roles" and "achieving full equality between men and women" are some of the slogans set by some of the more than 40 speakers who have passed through the EsadeCreapolis auditorium.
The event also included members of the city council such as the mayoress, Mireia Ingla, who defended that society needs a "feminist transformation because it has been demonstrated that, if not, we cannot move forward". In the same sense, the Deputy Mayor for Economic Promotion, Employment and Enterprise, Elena Vila, who believes that this change requires "women to be in positions of responsibility", but also to set an "example" in the personal sphere.
The councilor for Feminism and Equality, Tània Verge, closed the conference, which she highlighted as highlighting "the diversity of leaderships". "The idea that the ideal model of leadership is a white gentleman of a certain age and with certain styles of doing things that have been imposed by force of repetition, she reflected.
During the congress, the event's awards were also presented by the director of Cugat Mèdia, Mònica Lablanca. The winners were Astrid Camprubi (Aqtiva Data Technologies) in the category of entrepreneurship and innovation, Jèssica Vall (Club Natació Sant Andreu) as an elite athlete, Marta Macias (Coop4equality) as an expert in gender perspective and Maite Esteve (Fundació Catalunya Cultura) as a cultural promoter. The honorary award went to the director of Organization and People of FGC, Juliana Vilert.
From the organization, the co-founder of Women Evolution, Lídia Codinachs, described the celebration of this year's edition as a "success" and thanked all the collaborating companies and administrations for their involvement.
